How it works,.

You go into a Rock Tops Marble & Granite Showroom. You see a large display warehouse like enviroment of slabs of granite.

It's presented to you as if you were purchasing the slabs on site.

They entice you into making a purchase with them over the cometitors because they can show you a full slab sample instead of a small sqaure sample.

Many people are taken in by this practice.

What you actualy find out is the slabs are only a sample of what you can buy. Your Granite that you choose is at another location and they discourage you from viewing the slabs.

They will let you if you ask but they make it difficult for you to pick and choose.

Once you pick a sample slab a an estimate of your counter tops is taken in account and a 50% deposit is given and the contract is signed. A measure date is set.

Once the rock tops comes to measure they expect full payment. at this time they have added extra fees for cuts & cutouts etc. Your deposit is already taken and non refundable so if you were unware of these extra charges, too bad.

You are given a varience report that tells you what you are paying per sqaure ft. You need to know this prior to signing the initial contract.

COST PER SQ FT.

They will hind this in the contract like lease payments from a car lot. They can adjust the numbers how they see fit.

once again,

NO REFUNDS!

Once this company has a signed contract, they belive the small print will protect them against, Credit Card Charbacks,  Litigation etc.

 Rock tops learned early on they would not survive unless all money was paid in advance.

 The contract only protects the company. It outlines that they can damage your walls and or wall coverings at no expense to them.

 They also note they can add extra charges at time of measure.

The salesman have been known to add hidden costs by adding cutout charges and price by the sqaure foot just as a car dealership would hide added costs.

 Once they have a deposit it is thers to keep!

Once they measure they expect all funds paid in full. Gues what, that money is non refundable too and theirs to keep.

DONT BECOME A VICTIM OF THIS COMPANY!

 There are plenty of long time standing reputable granite and marble companies out there to choose from. Before purchasing granite, check the companies reputation and complaints against them by simply checking the name on Google or the Better Business Bureau.

I personally have found this company "ROCK TOPS"  to have Horrible customer service and installation. I wish I had more information about this company prior to dealing with them.

NEVER PAY IN FULL TO ANY COMPANY UNTIL AFTER THE JOB IS COMPLETE AND YOU ARE SATISFIED!

ROCK TOPS WANTS ALL MONEY PAID UP FRONT AT TIME OF MEASURE!

When a company asks for full payment prior to completing the job, there is a reason. If you are not satisfied, they have your money and it is on you to accept their terms or fight for a refund.
